Justine joined Shop Til You Drop as Beauty & Style
Director in 2003 following a magazine
career that included stints at Dolly, Marie Claire and
BBC Worldwide in the UK. In 2002, Justine launched Shop 4
Kids magazine, which became an instant success as the world's
first shopping magazine for children, and quickly gathered a cult
following.
Q. What has been your career highlight to
date?
The launch of SHOP 4 Kids was an amazing experience as there was literally nothing like it in the world. More recently, our SHOP redesign this year was incredible. It's such a unique offering and I feel like SHOP is now, more than ever, the most fun, relevant and useful fashion magazine in the Australian market.
Q. Complete this sentence: "If I wasn't an Editor I'd be …"
A deputy editor. I've never wanted to do anything else but work in magazines since I was eight years old.
Q. What are your top three 'can't live without' beauty products?
MAC Face and Body Foundation, Terax Crema Conditioner and Stila Convertible Colour blush.
Q. Describe your number one fashion moment?
My wedding day. Masses of tulle made the dress so fun to wear and I'd be a happier girl if veils were part of my everyday uniform.
Q. Who do you draw style inspiration from?
So many places - street style, celebs, magazines, blogs, the SHOP team...
Q. Complete this sentence: 'I'd spend my last hundred dollars on…."
A good meal. Contrary to what every fashion assistant I know would try to tell you, a girl cannot live on shoes alone.
