Booking an appointment for some pampering at your local beauty salon can be a great way to help you relax, unwind and release that unwanted stress in your body. But how can we get such great results without the hefty bill? Well, the team at 30 Days has got you covered. Here are our picks of the top home pampering treats.

A treat for your feet
After being cooped up all winter, your feet are probably longing for a little TLC, and with spring arriving this week, there's no better time for a little DIY pedicure. So sit down, get comfy and arm yourself with some warm water, nail clippers, a foot file and a buffer for a professional quality pedi at home!

Face fantastic
To keep your skin looking fresh and fabulous all month long, skip those pricey spa trips and treat yourself to a DIY facial treatment. Facial masks are the ultimate in relaxation and if used a couple of times a week, they can drastically improve the quality of your complexion.

Salt soak
A simple soak in the tub can release the tension from aching muscles (or cure the pain of last weekend's cocktail bender) and will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Fill your bath with warm water and add bath salts or essentials oils. If you're feeling adventurous, try a milk bath. Pick up a packet of milk powder from the grocery store and add two table spoons to warm water. The enzymes in the milk will activate on your skin and leave your body feeling super soft. Add some lavender oil for the ultimate relaxation.

Sweet as sugar
Smooth and glowing skin is easy to achieve using a homemade sugar scrub. Mix brown sugar with aloe vera and jojoba oil until it forms a smooth paste. Rub into the skin in a circular motion, and watch the dead skin cells literally wash away.

Treasured tresses
Our hair is exposed to harmful elements each day, usually without us even noticing. Everything from pollution and sunshine to wind and poor quality products can cause split ends, coarse texture and a dull colour. So to spruce up your mane, without the expensive salon bills, opt for a DIY hair treatment. To counter dry, brittle or damaged hair, try mashed avocado, banana, cocoa butter, olive oil or honey. Massage a small amount of ingredient into damp, unwashed hair, making sure special attention is paid to the ends.

Nail it!
Pampering your hands and keeping your nails perfectly polished is as easy as a DIY manicure. Start with removing dead skin from the nail with a cuticle stick. Then shorten and shape your nails with a good quality nail file, ensuring you file in the one direction to avoid nail damage. Massage cuticles with a few drops of cuticle oil and buff to give the nail a healthy base. Add a quality base coat and finish with a super-glossy nail lacquer.

Wax-cellence
No matter what your age, unwanted body hair is a bothersome fact of life for every woman. You may have been able to hide it under your stockings this winter, but spring has arrived and brought bikini weather with it. So before you throw in the beach towel, we've got these at-home waxing tips to get you totally smooth, and bikini-ready in seconds!

First, exfoliate and make sure the area is clean. Then sprinkle some baby-powder over the area to make sure all the excess moisture has been absorbed. Apply the wax to a small section, going with the grain. Leave to harden briefly, and apply a fabric strip. Press down to ensure the fabric has moulded with the wax. When you're ready, pull skin down as tight as possible. Very quickly pull the wax strip off of skin in the opposite direction of hair growth. Once the strip has been removed place your hand over the area to sooth.

Cucumber cure
Whether it is a constant dryness, fine lines or crow's feet, the eye area is considered the most complained-about area on the face. Well, here at 30 Days we have a quick, easy and affordable at-home eye treatment that will help alleviate this problem area.

To make simply steep chamomile tea in boiling water, add one tablespoon of aloe vera gel, two teaspoons of peeled and seeded cucumber and half a teaspoon of honey and blend until smooth. Apply to the eye area and leave set for 30 minutes. Rinse and see the instant results!
